KalshiSpy should make a trader’s record inspectable, not mythic

Agent access is useful if the underlying evidence survives the summary.

KalshiSpy describes trader analytics and historical trade records, with API and read-only MCP access documented for developers and agents. Our view is that the most defensible use is investigating a visible record. A trader profile can become an appealing story very quickly; we would want the product to make it just as easy to find observations that complicate that story.

We would consider KalshiSpy for researchers building questions about trading behavior, especially when they need structured access to the documented data. The tradeoff is convenient history and summaries versus the uncertainty around what that history can explain. We would not assume that a visible position reveals the participant’s motive, complete portfolio or private information.

An evaluation should select one trader and a bounded period, then compare the dashboard narrative with the records accessible through the API. Ask an agent to summarize the same interval while explicitly identifying missing context. The read-only interface should remain described as a data-access boundary, not an independently verified forecasting capability. We have not tested either data completeness or agent responses. Our preferred result would be a reproducible research note with traceable observations and clearly limited inferences, even if it produces a less exciting profile.
